This is a original #1 1959 Blond Barbie. Please see the specific photo showing the mark by Mattel which has been provided. This is from a one owner household, and the lady who sold the doll to the store had been the child who had received the doll herself.
The swimsuit and shoes are vintage to 1959, but not original to this specific doll. The stand that she is on as well as the three outfits that she comes with are original to her. She will come with reproduction '90s era sunglasses. The earrings are recent reproduction.
I did not use a filter to darken her skin tone, she has amazing color to her! There is a red red substance on her face I could not get off- I will leave that for the collector to decide what to do. Additionally, the black marks on her legs I could not get off. I was able to remove about 80% of the marks and residue that was on her originally when it came in.
Her head was originally torn off, and that has been restored. You can pose and move her head around, but I would recommend heavily being gentle with that part of her body.
Go through the photos carefully to understand condition as this is a vintage item and it does show the signs of age as most almost 70-year-old vintage items do.
