This early Utah crock is made from the iconic red clay that collectors are familiar with in pioneer era pieces. It may may possibly be attributed to the Eardley Brothers as it is the correct size and shape of their known pieces. It does have a mat black wash for its finish. The piece was hand thrown and not cast in a mold.
